Honor Veterans: Celebrate on Saturday

Veteran’s Day, a public holiday that honors all of those that served in the United States Armed Forces, will be celebrated in Pueblo on Saturday, November 11, with a parade beginning at 10 AM. Organized by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce, the Chieftain’s 16th Annual Veteran’s Day Parade will step off at Union Avenue and B Street. Parade participants will travel north on Union before turning east on City Center Drive and then north onto Main Street ending on Third Street.

Additionally, in honor of Veteran’s Day, active military members, veterans and their immediate family (spouse and children) are admitted free to the Pueblo Zoo this weekend, November 11-12. Pueblo Zoo, located at 3455 Nuckolls Avenue is open from 9 AM-4 PM on Saturday, and 12-4 PM on Sunday. Military or veteran’s group ID required for free admission.
