Materials:
- 2 paper plates
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Crayons or markers
- Pencil
- Glue
Steps:
- Fold a paper plate in half. Unfold it and, using crayons or markers, color the plate to look like a turkey’s body.
- Using the other paper plate, cut as shown. Create a tail-feather section by coloring both sides of this plate. Make the center section of the tail-feather plate brown.
- Cut 2 heads from construction paper. Glue them together and let dry. Add eyes, beak and a wattle.
- Cut a 1-inch slit along the fold line of the first paper plate, or the body. Slide the head into the slit and glue.
- Cut another slit 2 inches from the back of the body slanting forward. Insert the second paper plate, or tail-feather section, into the slit.
If you have a long table or small paper plates, you can make several turkey centerpieces. Get crafty!
