Ten things to do this week near Pueblo, Colorado

It is MAY!!! (Have you been singing a particular song all day long.. I know I have.)  As usual, there is a lot to do this week in and around Pueblo. This Friday is First Friday so be sure to swing by the creative corridor for tons of free fun at all your favorite First Friday stops. 

The weather is warming up, so more and more outdoor activities are popping up nearby and throughout the community. (Like boat rides at the Pueblo Riverwalk!) 

Although there are always more great events to check out on the calendar, here are the Macaroni Kid Pueblo picks for ten events not to miss this week: 


 Studio 1315 Fine Art Colored Pencils - All Day - Tuesday, May 2nd at Patrick A. Lucero Library

Feeling creative? Stop by the library for a chance to use a variety of art supplies that will be available to use for free. If you can't make it this Tuesday, there will be another chance to get creative on the last Tuesday of the month as well! 


 Grand Opening of the renovated playground at Metcalfe Park at 10:00 AM on  May 5th at MetCalfe Park. 

If you are in the Fountain area this event will be a great way to get outside and have some fun! 

 

 Small Business Expo, Resource & Job Fair from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on May 5th  at the PCC Fortino Ballroom. 

This expo has it all! Shopping, information on community resources, and opportunities to connect job seekers with businesses that are hiring. 


Summer Kickoff at the Riverwalk - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Pueblo Riverwalk.

It is time for boats on the Riverwalk! To celebrate there will be discounted boat rides, mixed drinks, free live entertainment, and so much fun. 


Cinco de Mayo Celebration at El Pueblo History Museum from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on May 5th, at El Pueblo History Museum.

The annual Cinco de Mayo cruise will end at the museum this year. Join the celebration! 


Cinco De Mayo Art Show at 5:00 PM on May 5th at the Pueblo Heritage Museum

Come experience "Culturas De Aztlan" featuring Tonio Lefebre. 


Art in the Park at 8:00 AM on May 6th at the Pueblo West Library

Join in on the sidewalk chalk art contest with trophies and ribbons for various age groups of kids, adults, and even professionals.


Cleat Exchange from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on May 6th at the Metcalfe Park Sports Complex 

This free event is open to the public. Drop off old cleats and pick up some new ones for free (you are not required to bring in a pair to donate to get new ones.) Register and get all the details HERE


Willow's Flower Moon Mystical Fair from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM on May 6th  at Pueblo Community College. 

Experience the FREE marketplace full of holistic vendors offering a wide array of services and products. 


The Great Pueblo Sleep Out 2023 begins at 7:00 PM on May 6th at 2290 Bonforte Blvd.

Fundraise, show solidarity, raise awareness, and support the Pueblo Rescue Mission. There will be giveaways, food, and more at this unique fundraiser.
